Bear Complex
The bear complex is a sequence of barbell movements that flow together in a natural progression. The movements are (in order) power clean, front squat, push press, back squat, and another push press. When the bear complex is done multiple times in a row, you are typically not allowed to rest with the barbell on the ground. The transition from the last push press of one bear complex rep to the front squat in the next rep must be touch and go—no pause on the ground even to re-grip. All resting and re-gripping must be done with the barbell off the ground.
Here is a CrossFit video demonstrating a sample workout using the bear complex.
